scension Via Christi's Mobile Mammography Unit will be in Elkhart on August 4 and 5 offering scheduled breast cancer screenings for women age 40 and older. Screenings help detect breast cancer early, when treatment is most effective. Appointments are available August 4 from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM and August 5 from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM behind the Morton County Medical Clinic at 411 Sunset Avenue. Women who have not had a mammogram in the past 12 months are encouraged to schedule an appointment. Insurance cards should be brought to check-in, and self-pay options are available for uninsured patients.
